Mcilroy wins the season finale! November 22 2015
So the European Tour has come to an end for another year. There was some terrific golf played this year with the home players having great seasons. Danny Willett, Andy Sullivan and Matt Fitzpatrick have had brilliant seasons. Danny Willett took Rory Mcilroy right to the wire and made him win the Race to Dubai. Matt Fitzpatrick is 21 years old and already won on tour and has burst into the top 50 in the world. Andy Sullivan has finished the season really strongly and I can see him winning again in the desert swing in January. Lets not forget about my fellow lanky golfer Chris Wood. He has become a super consistent golf er that I expect to press on in 2016. He needs to win more and I think he has the ability to do so. Are these all future Ryder Cup stars? Then we talk about Rory and think what else could he have won had he not had the unfortunate football injury. His distance is a huge advantage and more so when he has it under control, which seems to happen more and more frequently.
So what will 2016 bring?
Well I can see it being a big season for a number of British golfers. I think we will see majors for Mcilroy and Paul Casey. Yes I said it Paul Casey! This would potentially mean a major winner that won't be eligible for the Ryder Cup! I think the world number one position will be changing hands frequently between the big three, Spieth, Day and Mcilroy. The Ryder Cup will be won by Europe on US soil with a certain Tiger Woods making the team! Yes I'm Tigers biggest fan and am dreaming of him making a comeback to the top.
